It was a jam-packed fashion month, and there was no shortage of trends that popped up across the runways. From huge headwear moments to ultra-embellishment, the designers were leaning into some more playful elements in their collections. One trend that we can see ourselves wearing all autumn and winter long? Metallics. Specifically, silver.

From bags to shoes to statement dresses, silver found its home in many an autumn/winter collection. If the thought of donning a metallic piece to work or for a dinner date is a little daunting, we get it, though it needn’t be. Start small by incorporating more demure silver pieces into your wardrobe. Accessories are always a safe way to experiment with new colours and textures, and when you get more confident you can incorporate the hue more creatively in wardrobe pieces.

To inspire your silver ensembles, we’ve rounded up a few of our favourite pieces. There’s no second place here.

A major statement when it took to the runway, this silver embellished singlet top is equal parts cool and fun. Wear it with jeans to dress it down or a mini for the ultimate party look.

Twinkle toes if ever we’ve seen them. These silver kitten heels from Ferragamo are uber fabulous, but their low heel means they’re not ostentatious.

If a glomesh purse was made of crystals, it would look pretty similar to this spectacular Chanel bag. As at home on the dancefloor as it would be worn with jeans, could there be a chicer way of wearing silver than this?

Knitwear is made fabulous with the help of silver sequins in this Balenciaga piece. Perfect for layering on a cooler day or wearing alone as a statement piece, it’s a little extra while still being super cool.
