Longtime Dining will open their doors in the elite QueensPlaza shopping centre, with an unconventional menu set to stir up Cantonese cuisine in Brisbane.

Seasoned hospitality partners Andrew Yu and Beverly Teo hope to take a fresh, East-meets-West outlook on traditional yum cha, where you can expect an extensive cocktail list over the more conventional pairing of tea.

Perched above Gucci in the heart of the Brisbane CBD, their latest venture creates a neo-Chinese experience making just a ‘dumpling trolley and tea’ experience a thing of the past. This contemporary restaurant will take you on a journey with a fusion of Eastern and Western flavours.Img

“Yum cha is about sharing and finding that nostalgic taste, and I hope people can take the time to enjoy the flavours of each handcrafted dish,” Mrs Teo said.

Expect the real deal with authentic craftsmanship from Cantonese chefs that have over 30 years of experience, implementing guilt-free cooking methods to their two main menus with less salt, less oil and no MSG. The chefs have combined innovative cooking techniques with time-honoured recipes which are principally Cantonese, with some Beijing, Szechuan and Western influence.

“Longtime redefines traditional dim sum with a modern spin, using only the best locally sourced, seasonal ingredients paired with creative presentation,” says Andrew.

The extensive yum cha menu features a lineup of over 50 dim sum items available daily, featuring everything from classic barbecue pork buns and shrimp dumplings to unexpected flavours like cheeseburger spring rolls and squid ink rice noodles with edible gold leaf. Sip through a rotating cocktail list with Oriental-influenced curations like Japanese Whiskey, saké and Chinese Baijiu that compliment each dish.Img

The a la carte menu pays homage to Cantonese cooking traditions, with classic flavours evocative of their Eastern roots. Dive into the Longtime typhoon-shelter style seafood platter, an aromatic delight featuring crispy golden crumb, wok fried garlic, dried chilli, and spices, that delivers just the right level of piquancy and heat. Lean into temptation and save room for the irresistible dessert menu, with crowd favourites like oven-baked egg tarts and vanilla cream mango pancake.

The restaurant will feature a 200sqm open kitchen that will allow diners to watch the bustling behind-the-scenes action from the comfort of their seats. The stylish, earth-toned fit out paired with modern décor boasts an impressive 200-seat capacity, balcony seating with inner city views and two private VIP rooms perfect for your next function or event.

Longtime will open their doors at the beginning of December from 11:30am till 9pm, Monday to Sunday, located on Level 1 of QueensPlaza.
