You’ve probably seen our first instalment of #QPStreetStyle featuring Tess Alexander and Gina Kim, but if you haven’t… take a peek here.

Originating from British Fashion Culture, Street Style showcases all kinds of eclectic mixes of trends and celebrates individuality.

We are embracing Brisbane Street Style with some stylish locals who have caught our eye, and we have no doubt they will soon catch yours. Let your fingers do the scrolling as we showcase some serious fashion week vibes, inspiring you for the new season ahead.

We’re excited to introduce Rachael Kennedy and Coco Chen, a dynamic duo who stop traffic with their endless sense of style.

Rachael wears Camilla High Low Midi Shirt Dress, Wide Leg Trouser, and Soft Bra with Back Clip in Party in the Palace print, and Camilla Mini Beaded Waist Bag.

Think Camilla is just kaftans? Think again. Rachael shows us how to layer their collection of impactful prints producing a boho but oh-so-sexy look.

“I have to admit, I am not a regular Camilla customer but I couldn’t walk past this outfit. The dress worn open with flowy trousers gives it a youthful and modern edge”.

If you want to make an impact, look no further.

Coco wears Alice McCall Cool Cat Pant and Cool Cat Top, Bvlgari B.zero1 Ring, B.zero1 Bracelet & Serpenti Viper Bracelet.

What could possibly go wrong when you are dripping in gold from head to toe? Absolutely nothing!

Coco proves more is more in this stunning gold leather set by Alice McCall, who are making serious waves with their new collection, Girl Liberty. Run, don’t walk because QueenPlaza is a Queensland exclusive store and some of these pieces won’t stick around long.

Why stop at gold top and trousers, when you can complete it with stacked gold pieces by Bvlgari?! Like we said, more is more.

Coco couldn’t have put it better, “who wouldn't want to pull out the sequins, glitter and metallics after COVID has been keeping us indoors all this time?”

Rachael wears Aje Charlotte Tiered Dress, Camilla Mini Beaded Waist Bag, Camilla Large Square Scarf in High Tea print.

If there’s one thing every Queensland woman has in her wardrobe, it’s a floral summer dress. Elevate this trusty wardrobe staple with sneakers, bum bag and a trend we are enjoying seeing more and more of – a scarf styled in your hair.

Rachael says “scarves worn this way have to be my favourite trend emerging for 2021. It instantly brings your outfit from 2 to 10”.

Coco wears Dior Sweater (Style ID 114S34AM323X0200), Skirt (Style ID 111J14A7780X0300) and Bra (Style ID 054E01AM520X4410).

You can really see the Puglia inspiration behind Dior’s resort collection shining through with this look. The way it is so perfectly undone has a nostalgic feel, evoking a sense of tradition.

The devil is in the detail and it does not go unnoticed; the way the brand name is subtly woven through the fringing of the skirt and the iconic logo bra peeking through the loose knit sweater has us in pieces.

Rachael wears Camilla and Marc Ellie Mini Dress (David Jones), sass & bide Divine Fantasy Belt, and Tol Eyewear Icon Sunglasses (Viktoria & Woods).

Remember how we mentioned a floral summer dress was hiding in every Queensland woman’s wardrobe?

Well, we found another one you are going to need. This Camilla & Marc dress had us at balloon sleeves!

Rachael says “I know it’s the most cliché thing you can hear from a shop assistant… but, you truly can add sneakers to style it down! Remove the corset belt that it’s styled with here and I could wear this everyday”.

Coco wears Aje Remi Jacket & Remi Shorts, Bvlgari Serpenti Forever Crossbody Bag, and Le Specs Sunglasses (David Jones).

Denim on denim, a trend that isn’t going anywhere, even if Levis Strauss calls saying he wants his look back.

How is it that Aje nail the cut every single time?! The relaxed fit of both the jacket and shorts give this look the edge it needs.

Let’s also take a moment and appreciate what makes this outfit really pop – the statement Serpenti bag from Bvlgari has us seeing red.

Rachael wears Camilla and Marc Mia Puff Sleeve Shirt Dress (David Jones), Burberry Medium Two-tone Canvas and Leather Pocket Bag and Burberry Leather Trim Logo Graphic Canvas Bucket Hat (her own).

Rachael is a terracotta dream in this Camilla & Marc dress that is simple enough to wear day-to-day but still deserves special mention with the on-trend puff sleeves.

The Burberry canvas logo collection took its rightful place on the fashion throne throughout 2020 and it won’t be leaving your Instagram feed anytime soon for obvious reasons. It is as stylish as it is practical! No hat, no play after all.

Coco wears Saba Freya Silk Slip Dress, Camilla Large Square Scarf, and Paspaley Pearls Lavalier Ruby in Yellow Gold.

The perfect slip dress does exist – and it is patiently waiting for you inside Saba. This look was Coco’s favourite and says “the silk dress is so flattering, it would look good on any body type and the headscarf instantly elevated the whole outfit!”.

The scarf strikes again! Hate to say we told you so, but it’s all in the detail.

Speaking of detail – we know you have been eyeing off the beautifully elegant Paspaley piece hanging off coco’s neck and we can confirm it might just make the perfect Lunar New Year splurge.
