Burberry Introduces Burberry Beast05 Jul 2017
Burberry brings you a collection based on mythical creatures hatched in the Burberry design studio in London.
Unique to Burberry, the Beasts collection will feature on a range of men's, women's and children's clothing and accessories.
The Beasts appear in three forms on large bags: as crossbody bags, as appliqués and as prints on rucksacks.
The small leather goods category features beasts as appliqués, together with beast prints on leather accessories, including beast-shaped key charms, coin cases, pouches and continental wallets.
Ready to Wear
Beasts appear as embroidered motifs on the Burberry classic cashmere scarf and leather appliqués on jersey sweaters and capes. The prints are also worked on to wool-cashmere ponchos, wool-silk scarves and silk-twill skinny scarves.
Material and texture play a big part in the designs to enhance the creative look of the collection. Individual designs bring together a mix of signature Burberry materials, from House check cotton to animal-print calfskin. The scarves range is presented in the following fabrics: cashmere, wool-cashmere blend, wool-silk gauze, washed silk chiffon, cashmere silk and silk twill.
The colour palette features ochre yellow, honey, tan, chocolate, burgundy red, antique red, coral red, blossom pink, mauve pink,
pale apricot, olive green, dark navy, bright lapis blue, pale opal and slate blue.
Burberry Beasts were conceived, hand-drawn and illustrated in the Burberry design studio in London. The English velvet is made at an 84-year-old manufacturer in East Lancashire, England – a region with a rich textile heritage. Leather accessories are finished with hand-painted edges. The Scottish-made classic cashmere scarf and English-woven House check feature in the collection.
